If you use your Evo for development just have a tendency to clutter it up and want to start over from scratch, doing a factory reset is probably the answer. Doing a factory reset on an HTC Evo 4G is actually quite simple (I would prefer it to be a bit more difficult so that it's harder for someone to reset your phone maliciously).
